Questions! 360 degree panoramas with Kerkythea

Hi,

Today I tried a few times HDRI 360 degree panoramas with Kerkythea. Two questions I have:

Is it possible to scale the panorama in Kerkythea separately.
Is it possible to change the brightness of the model and the panorama independently.

I would be grateful for any advice.

Just in case others have been wondering about these questions, here's the answer...

About brightness, that is not possible in KT. For that you will need a render engine that has a support for separated illumination, background, reflection and refraction -mapping, like Thea render has.

I'm going to try the demo version of Thea I had searched both forums but had not found any posts.

Hi,

with which of the renderer could it be best realized? My problem is that I can not judge the abilities of the different rendering machines, because I lack the knowledge about it.

I have looked at the list here in the forum but in the end I'm very confused. I have now installed Thea and Twilight Render. But till now I have not found how to integrate panoramas.

Thea looks very complicated in comparison to Kerkythea. So far I have not yet found the Render Preview and get no rendered image. After pressing the Start Render button nothing happens.

Twilight seems to be very simple. But here I had no success with a panoramic background.

I believe this is the key...
Please don't expect that you can just "click a button" and voila you have a perfect photo-realistic image of your 3D model...

Allow me to quote some wise words...

This is the SketchUcation Forum, with tons of threads related to SketchUp...
If you make a search at the Thea Render Forum , the Twilight Render Forum or the Kerkythea Forum I'm sure you'll be able to find answers to your questions very fast...

When installing the Thea Render, you can find the "Manual.pfd" in the directory, where Thea is installed...
(I.e. C:\Program Files\Thea Render\Manual.pdf)
For panoramas, please see page 20 in the manual...

For Twilight Render, you can download the Manual and see page 52 for panoramas...

For Kerkythea, you can download the Getting Started tutorial and see page 27 and 28...

I can't contradict you. Everything I have learned about SketchUp and other programs I have from books and mostly from Video tutorials and diligent practice.

Often I hear myself say: damn, that must still work somehow. My mistake is that I'm sometimes too impatient. Thanks for your suggestions. The Manual to Thea, I had completely overlooked.

If you like video tutorials, there are some basic tutorials available for Thea . Take a look also on "How do I...? " forum.
