Locking a plane in SketchUp
-
Hi everyone..
Many times we need to work in xy plane only or yz or xz plane only.. is there a way so that the plane can be locked so that the cursor doesn't run away and snap to objects that are far away?? This gets really annoying in sketchup.. AutoCAD has this facility popularly known as UCS... universal coordinate system i think... -
TIG's 2D tools lets you snap to the XY plane...

Yeah I know but the free and smooth movement of the line that sketchup enables you to is not there in TIGs 2d tools and it also does not fulfill all my requirements.. It is a good plugin for xy plane. i really need a UCS kinda functionality in sketchup is it possible?? any plugin??

looks like another vote for my reference plane plugin request!

for now i would recommend making one manually. (make face, group it, use it to inference to) -
