How do I get rid of the "white bleed" around the center cap of the woofer in this speaker? (attached file)

I even tried going inside of the model and painting the interior black. I tried putting another black disc inside of the model. Apparantly it is not a "see through" problem. The lines describing the dome center cap just won't paint black.

I cleaned up a few lines, and then decided to turn off "display edges" and the problem got even worse (see attached)

You are right about the showing through. There are also tiny gaps between the cone part and its surround, because the cone is rotated in relation to its surround. Behind there is a cylindrical part that is white. Some face normals are also reversed. It starts to look much better if you change your default colour to a dark one for both front and back faces.
