Outliner is acting... less than optimal

Any insights on why the Outliner does not do things in a logical manner?
It could would be great help, if there is a fix for this.

I've always found the Outliner to be Under-whelming in its usability. I have ranted a bit on this topic relative to visibility of nested comps and groups during the edit process. It's always all or nothing kind of a thing. . .but I digress. One of the glitchiest things about OL is when you use certain plugins with OL open. Not good.

I've complained about this behaviour through the beta testing channels for a while now... they keep saying they've fixed it, but as you've noticed they've done anything but.
