      ... segments that is...

I am creating an animation and have a quick question. Does it matter if the path you've created is on a short segment or a long one? The animation I'm working on is way to fast! I need to slow it WAY down. Can I achieve that by changing my path segments or is it a scene transition thing?

BTW, it's nice to be back. πŸ˜›

Was Aidan (the Dummy's author) able to help?

The idea is that each scene transition takes X amount of time. so if you are set at 3 second transitions, then each scene will take 3 seconds to get from one location to the next. So if one scene is in Maine and the other is in So.Cal, then 3 seconds will zoom you over the entire USA. So turn it up to 159,000 seconds and you will cruise at 60 miles/hour πŸ˜„

So it is a combination of how far apart your scenes are set, and how long the transition time is.

          Chris

BTW its good to have you back. I noticed you had not logged in for a while - Were you off having fun? Or just busy working?

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Thank you for your explanation Chris. That was really helpful.

The animation is finished and was actually a bit too slow, LOL, go figure. You can see it here. I exported PNG stills on 4 virtual machines for almost 4 days. I think there was approx 50,000 stills to go through. I used Paul Russam's technique.

I wish the quality was a little better on the upload and for some reason the music did not upload. 😞

To answer your question. I've been working. My husband and I merged our two businesses early last year and the workload of developing and promoting essentially two businesses has been a tad overwhelming. Mix in a few kids and add water, you get... crazy. That's where I've been lately, just plain crazy. Thanks for asking. πŸ˜„

Good on you. What a great job you have done on this. The animation is quite smooth, if you weren't so crazy (busy--to clarify) I be bugging you to describe your process and workflow.
