      Hello, I am totally new to CAD; I am in healthcare. I have done about half of the sketchup tutorials.

      I am able to draw very spartan looking chairs.

      My goal is to use this program to design a tree house that will be suspended within a triangle defined by 3 trees.
      How do I plot the trees in 2d space knowing the lengths of the sides of the triangle they define?

          Check out this plugin - it will allow you to draw triangles based on their side lengths:
