      1. I always wondered why my models sometimes get cut in half when I am editing a group/componet? Can someone explain?

      2. When I import a CAD file it sometimes looks like it has a million facets. When i select all and make a group it goes to a normal shape? Anyone know?

      Thanks,

      NE

For question 1, are these components imported from another source, or did you model them yourself. If imported, could be the component is bilaterally symmetrical, and the other half is a mirrored copy?

For question 2, that is tougher, unless either the cad program is trying to interpret the faces or Sketchup is trying to interpret the geometry of the cad source file?

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.
