Schnitzer-Bruch House ( Update 26-02-2010 )
-
Beautiful environment and building. I have to found time to try Vue8. It is amazing!
maybe in front of the house is too much bump texture (concrete)
-
very very nice work!!! but is it a little bit jaggy? anti alias thingy
textures seem quite nice to me although i agree about the bump at the front, bit too much maybe....or is that just noise form being in shadow? im not familiar with how vue works......
the only other thing i could possibly suggest is to correct the verticals...seems to be some convergence
vegetation looks sweet

I like it and the bump thing does not bother me - I think it is mainly due to the render engine and not you.
What ecosystem did you use - looks great!

Twan, that looks great, reminds me of this:

Hi everybody,
Thanks for the comments. I've posted this render on Cornucopia to ( Vue Forum ) and I've reached the Cream of the Crop section for the first time with this one
Hi Solo, thanks for the comment. Love your render to. Funny things is that I'm currently working on a Bridge house, but a more modern design, with metal panels and iron beam structure.
I agree that there a noise in some area's of the render, but I rendered it on Superior settings so I don't think it has something to do with AA. I think its caused by the area lights. But I'm still struggling with architectural materials. wood is no problem but steel and brushed metal are hard to do in my opinion.

Regarding brushed metals, in kerkythea there is a materials setting called anisotropic scatter. Aniso means unequal and with this setting light is scattered more or less than in one direction than the other. You need to get a good flat photo of a brushed metal to use as texture, then, in addition, you need to adjust the balance/imbalance of the anisotropic scatter.

really great, I was missing this one

Here's an update on my model and render. I decided to make a new design and expand the Schnitzer_Bruch House design. This version is on steroids . Tried some pp in photoshop but i'm not quite happy with the result. Needs some tweeking.

Fantastic work Twan I love your latest image, great mood to it.

I really like the feeling in that last image.
But there is something odd about the window reflections, and the lack of any blue in the sky makes it go from cheerful to a littlebit drab.
