Looks interesting, looking forward to the progress. Exactly what is your technique, plugins used?

I just started off with a sphere and used FFD to get the general shape. (the other half of the structure is below the ground plane)
I exported to wings 3d (faster than SU) to subdivide it....but you can do exactly the same with the 'subdivide and smooth' plugin.....it can create the tessellation too. just a bit slower.
no exact science to it really, i just used a silhouette to gauge some human scale.
cheers

I find this fantastic. Just this naturalistic background and sky is where I have a problem. For the moment, I mean.
-
maybe if you put the sun on top of the girl at the left, it will balance the scene so you can decide easier
i like it -
Kids will like this for climbing.
-
is it moving?
i should add that I am a fan of your abilities
-
Hello! I think there is too much blur and the girl of the right part has some problems with her neck!
But it looks very shine!Waiting for more!
-
thanks for all the comments!!
I used radial blur because it was quite jaggy and I wanted to suggest some movement, like a kinaesthetic....the actual structure isn't moving lol I agree its a bit over-the -top.
thanks troy!
david57: there is glass to the inside so you cannot actually touch it. perhaps I should add some slight colour to the glass so its more evident.
michalis: the background is just from the raw render....its a spherical hdri, I will add the context when I have finished the design. thanks.
I will post the sketchup view of the structure its pretty sexy!

GLAZING:
SOME STRANGE GEOMETRY TO THE LEFT IN THIS ONE LOL:

It's great to see this experiment! It will be cool to watch it develop. I'm not familiar with Wings3D, but will look at it after seeing this.
-
cool work!!!!! what plugin [not subdivide and smooth] did you use to make these internal triangular framework??
-
thanks for comments, its appreciated
its Wings 3D (free subdivision modeler)
I just collectively offset each triangle that made up the mesh and then collectively push/pulled the frame to give it depth (like push pull). this is a lot easier in wings because it remembers what you have selected.....don't need to go round the model clicking all the time. I'm not sure how feasible this structure would be in the real world!!!

Good idea about the glass, didnt think it.
I just found this on the web and i guess you already saw it:

no ive never seen it. good spot!! cheers

Lets talk about construction now, because this is amazing. BTW I love the SU raw 2d exports, its more 'projective' (sorry for my english), some pp could help.
