I am organizing my library of components. I need plugin to make the following:
The script should delete all present Layers in the scene, in my case, the component that it would be editing in the moment.
The script should create a layer and it put all of the entities in the scene in this layer.
The script should create a menu somewhere for me can set a keyboard shortcut.
The name of the layer I can adjust editing the own Script.
    Thanks

Not quite sure what you mean - "in the scene". Do you mean in the model? Do you just want a script that moves everything to layer 0 and purges unused layers?

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

You are right. But I need more one thing. After delete all layers, the script must create some layer, determined in some field in the script, and must put all entities in this layer. This is very useful to me. Thanks.

So you could have a script that moves everything to layer 0. Then purges all layers. Then it asks you for a new layer name. It then puts all groups/components onto that new layer, but leaves all raw geometry on layer 0.

Is that about right? I prefer to keep raw geometry on z, and only move the groups/components onto a different layer. It makes things much easier. So would that flow be approximately accurate?

            Everything in new layer.

i don't think you understand how the layers work if you are asking for this. you can simply select all layers in the layer manager and hit the '-' button it will ask if you want to move all to default layer, answer yes. now create a new layer, name it wha6t you want and select everything (all components) and in the entity info window choose the new layer from the drop down list!

@chris it seems maybe bigotalo want a script to run like a batch file and automatically go through all his files with no interaction and do these changes???

you want someone else to correct your mistakes?

just fix each component as you use it you don't have to do them all at once.

Some components I get in the Internet, other I import of Autocad and still other I import of the 3dsMax. I collect components for three years. I have more than three thousand components. I didn't have this vision early of how to organize components. And some I never touched. Do you understand?

HEhe, ok this is pretty rough, but I made a quick video of how to do it manually and quickly. Done in portuguese. Or I should say it is a close approximation of portuguese. Plus some english, and maybe spanish 😄 And a really bad sotaque!

                      Espero que da para entender!

Ahh, so you do want a way to do it automatically over an entire folder then? Yeah, the method in my video is not great for that.
