Gaieus

This year, my city Pécs is the "European Capital of Culture" (together with Essen, Germany and Istanbul, Turkey). There are various programmes and all (you know the kind...)

Here is the webiste of the programmes (you may need to go to the English pages first at the top right) and they even have an rss feed (if one knows what that is) although the news there seem to be a bit outdated.

So my "offer" to any of my SCF friends here:

if you visit Pécs and let me know ahead (send a PM for instance), I will be glad to guide you around.
Note that I am (also) a qualified tour guide (in fact, I only qualified after having been teaching "going-to-be" and already working tour guides only because I thought it looked stupid that I did not have the papers).
This offer is "beerware" - i.e. you will have to pay me a beer afterwards.
Of course what goes around comes around and since I am the "host", I buy you a beer back.
