SCULPTOR (Win but Mac coming!)
-
Hi Guys,
SCULPTOR looks to be an interesting way of freehand sculpturing. The developers say. '11D Sculptor is full-3D freehand sculpting software. Its intuitive and powerful modeling tools change what is possible in digital sculpting. Using 11D Firefly - an innovative 3D 6DOF input device for real 3D space navigation gives the artists all the natural sculpting touches in the virtual world'

Fun looking... but how fast your hand do get tired off floating in the air?
-
That crossed my mind also but I imagine you would lean your elbow on the desk or a cushion?

Did you notice the related video on the page at right? Some kind of arrangement involving an array of cameras, reference dots on the fingers and a car sponge for a model proxy. A bit involved.
As for the SCULPTOR hand held device, I would imagine that fatigue would set in, if not "tennis elbow", which I seem to have now in my right arm due to "mouse stress".
I am sure the developer will come up with a solution.
