Is there any setting in Sketchup that will prevent a texture from being subdivided and misaligned on a curved face? I am working on a shuttle design that does not have a flat face on the entire model and I would love to texture it without having to go into a face/poly, align the texture then copy/paste that alignment on the thousands of face/polys on the model.

Sketchup does not subdivide the texture deliberately, it is only not capable to align the texture.

The only ways of texturing organic shapes in Sketchup is using projected texture (native), or using spherical or cylindrical projection (plugin UVTools 0.1).

There are also other ways of texturing, like this workaround or using another programm for uv-mapping (plugin UVTools 0.2)
