Stops working after I return

Every time I close sketchup, and then reopen it, it doesn't work anymore, until I completely uninstall it, and reinstall it, this is getting to be a pain. The symptoms are, When it opens, I just get a white screen with the toolbars, and the pencil, but the pencil doesn't draw anything no matter what I do, then when I go to exit it asks if I want to save changes, but I didn't make any changes. This has happened about 6 times so far, and, seven is the charm, or the end. Thanks for any help in advance, I really like this program, and would hate to see it deleted.

What I suspect is that you have some issues with your graphic subsystem. In SketchUp, open your Preferences panel from the Window menu and Go to the OpenGL settings. Here disable ("uncheck") hardware acceleration to see if this is the case.
