Vue Renders
-
I'm using Vue Xstream 8. In the winter scene I wanted to practice materials positioning so i tried to cover colorful trees with snow. I have wintertrees also but that's to easy
But Vue is e realy good app. Once you've tried it you become addicted. very fun to play around with.
Now i'm trying to combine sketchup with Vue and maybe other render app. Thanx for the nice comments.Greetz

Wow, really cool. I'm seeing again why I love that renderer

Definitely fabulous images!
I understand that the winter scene was just a practice but let me allow another crit with it - when the trees are in (deep) snow, you shouldn't see their roots:

wow these are just good work

AWESOME...!!
Nothing beats Vue when it comes to natural 3D environments, atmospheres and detailed terrains...But how much of these scenes are made in SU...?
Could be interesting to see some images of what these looked like in SU... -
I only used Sketchup in Two images. The winter scene ( building ) and the Windmill scene ( the windmill ). My goal now is to combine sketchup designs with the landscaping from Vue. Hope to post some results soon.

Have you tried the 'SU2Vue' ruby script?
Vue is a great companion render to Sketchup, and it's even better when you can match cameras perfectly.
There's an old thread on this forum somewhere, but it's a script with (understandably) rather limited appeal, so it's pretty well buried. You can get it from my site, along with a very good tutorial pdf by solo:
