Infrencing?

Is it possible to turn the infrencing off in SketchUp?

There is only one kind of inferencing you can turn off - length (and in fact, angle) snapping in Window > Model info > Units.
No other inferencing can be turned off.BUT - we can often read this from beginners and believe me, if you really learn to use it, it will be your friend, not an enemy.
Also, you would be completely lost without it in SU's virtual 3D space. Maybe it's only annoying with the freehand tool - but use some other application to draw freehand. I may have used that tool like three times over the past 3.5 years.
