So I found the Wall Frame component, but I can't seem to resize it. Must I edit the component's elements individually?

I'm trying to design the framing construction view of a 10' x 20' room.
    Thx

Edit: ....I figured out that I have to edit the compontent elements. But the measurements don't go right....
If I "pull" the base plate, type "10' " it ADDS 10 feet to the original length. ๐Ÿ˜’
I want the TOTAL length of the base plate (and top plates) to be EXACTLY 10 feet..
If I try to drag pull its length it won't stop at 10....the closest it'll stop at is 10' 13/16"

        Hi Jaz,

Probably not a stupid question but people (including me) may not know what component you are talking about. Is this a dynamic component? (in that case I think I should move your topic to the Dynamic Components subforum )

On the off chance that you are indeed referring to the Dynamic Component in the Components Sampler library, you need to open the Component Options dialog box, select the component (single click with Select tool) and then type the desired dimension for the length of the wall in the box labeled "Length". Make sure you enter the length in the units shown in the box.

Thx Dave R....I guess I'm using that dynamic component (didn't realize there was a component distinction to be made)

I'll try that when I get home from work. ๐Ÿ‘
