      Hi reader,

Has anyone created an airport using sketch up as I am currently working on a design which has many features? Wondering if anyone has any new ideas ??

      Regards

        Hi there!
There are lots of airport models on 3D warehouse, if that´s what you had in mind.

Hm. Than I guess I won´t help much. But I would surely like to see some pics of that centre.
          Cheers!

            Hi numbthumb,

My last post was mistakes and very confusing. I try not to make the same mistake.

            Here are samples taken from centre as requested;

img1 shows main desk with colour and entry point inside the building

img2 shows floor 1,2,3 with an outer yellow glass to view inside.

img3 shows a view from the top where 6 beams stand out. The center of the building has stairs which lead to floor 1. The triangle looking things which leads to another floor is infact a ramp for people to walk on. A lecture hall on floor 3 (not finished) is the main room with a screen.

img4 shows the same view as img3 but from a different angle

img5 shows a side view inside the building

Overall, the path surrounding the topless center area is plain and does not look good.
Floor 0, underneath the stairs appears to be empty.

Any comments regarding improvements would be taken into account.

            Regards
            DeS

And how did you come up with the idea for training center?

Many centres are very grey, boring and depressing so I came up with that idea and added my ideas.

What type of aircrafts do you design using Sketch Up ??

No, I don´t think it´s confusing. I was just curious to see how it looks, and as far as I am concerned, it looks very good. I´ll be glad to help as much as I can, it´s just that I am not really into architectural visualisations (and I tend to get lost at the airports, too). 😄
                    But airplanes...that´s another story.

Mostly WW1 and WW2 aircrafts. The older the better. But it is safe to say that I am actually "recovering" them after my HD failure. 😢 So I guess that it would take some time until I recover myself and until I dare to post progress.

I am now designing a training stadium for a major football team (will not tell you) which already has a pitch and North seating for supports. I'll post some when I have completed part of it.

                        Regards

                          Hi numbthumb,

My main reason is because I have designed an airport training centre which will ideally be connect via roads to the main airport with runway, terminal etc. A person who is designing the same project would be ideally useful.

                          Regards
