Something wrong with sketchup

theres something that just makes me mad..whenever i try to paint something for instance a side of a hood of a truck..either it doesnt paint it or it paints the other side or some other part that isnt suppose to be painted? is there a way to fix this? plz help

Are the faces that you are trying to paint either a group or component? You need to open the groups/components first before painting them or you will get the behaviour you describe.

well usually i dont have this problem on my desktop computer or my home laptop..its just my school laptop thats doing this idk if theres also a setting maybe? idk

No,I'd guess it's what John says.
There is no (known) graphic card issue that would paint faces like it paints groups.Open up those imported components for editing, Sam!

I was thinking about the common problem with Intel and Ati graphics where tools select objects that are behind the intended surface (the "reverse picking driver bug".
