I was just playing around with an idea for something else and came up with a new style. Maybe someone will find it useful? I borrowed a line style from Lidelin's recently posted collection which is very nice.

          Thank you Lancaster and Richard.

For what it's worth, this style was very easy to make and anyone could make their own variations. If there's interest in how I did it, I'd be glad to write up a how-to.

Alright. Here's how I did it. There are probably other and perhaps more efficient ways but this is fairly quick and the applications are free. Note, this is not the same cloud image I used in the style I posted.

              http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2568/3917063629_01f69bcca9.jpg

I started in Paint.NET. After opening the program, I selected all and painted it. In this case I used blue but the color probably doesn't make any difference.

              http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2440/3917852754_d658827b20_o.jpg

Next I applied the Cloud filter to the entire selection. You can play with the settings to get something you like.

              http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3522/3917854784_2d585e7d04.jpg

After several attempts, I ended up saving this image as a JPG file.

              http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2516/3917066751_9b16c5f899.jpg

Next I opened the saved cloud image in FotoSketcher. I set the Drawing Style to Pen and Ink Sketch 1. I unchecked the box for adding a frame and futzed with the sliders and texture settings until I had a likely candidate. You need to click the Draw it! button to get the image to update.

When I got the effect I was looking for, I saved that image which I then used as a Watermark image in SketchUp.

              http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2495/3917857758_bccdf2f468.jpg

I used the image twice. First as a background image.

              http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2576/3917069423_c9da7f28c1.jpg

              And then as an overlay.

              http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3533/3917069499_14322785bb_o.jpg

For the overlay image, I set the Blend slider near the Model end.

              http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2618/3917069635_feaec480ce_o.jpg

Next, I clicked on the Mix tab and chose a line style to add. Just select the line style you want and drag it up to the Edge settings box.

              http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3528/3917858770_f1d5a1e284_o.jpg

Type a new name for the style and add a description if you want. Click on the Create button near the upper right corner of the dialog box.

              http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3481/3917859062_80d92c8fbf_o.jpg

Open the Secondary pane. Click on the little plus icon below the down-pointing arrow in the upper right corner. Set one pane to In Model and the other to the location where you want to save the style for future use. Click and drag your new style's thumbnail from In Model to the destination.
