That isnt possible in SU. I've got a feeling you can do it in blender, although ive got no idea how
To get your SU modl to blender: go file->export then export as .kmz. Then change .kmz to .zip, unzip it and te .dae bit can be opened in blender.

You can paint on the individual faces with an external painting application of your choice, eg Photoshop, Artweaver, Paint.net etc.
To do that you right click on the face > Make Unique Texture. Then right click on the face again > Texture > Edit texure Image. I think the first time you do this you will then be given the choice of choosing which Image Editing app you want to use. When you've finished in the painting app, simply save the image and the changes will be made in SU.
You can also set the Image App SU uses, or change it in future, by going to Windows > Preferences > Applications.

thanks johnsenior1973, works perfect

Thank you, johnsenior1973. This trick will come in handy

Hi guys,
John has some point here. In SU7, the texturing tool (more exactly how you can interact with textures) has been greatly improved and though we do not have better UV mapping tools, there are a lot of things you can do with already mapped textures.
This is really worth a better look IMO.

Thanks for the explanation. Another question if you guys don´t mind. What do I have to do if I want to edit a texture applied on a surface? ( i.e. not on a single face?)

I'd create a flat face the same size as the surface you want painting. I'd then paint that face using the technique above. Then right click on that texture and click on Texture > Projected.
Then sample that paint texture and paint it on your curved surface.

DOH!

OR instead of projecting it, wrap it around (remember the other topic).
It all depends on the "project".

Doh! again. Slight memory disturbances in the aged, I guess...
