        thanks pete, sid and bruce.

when i was studying in the US a professor of mine told me that a good title would get me in the main sessions of academic seminars, regardless of the quality of my work. i learned that lesson and applied it here: this is how i caught your attention. πŸ˜‰

dealing with the terrain was one of the main issues in this project, both in architectural and modeling terms. i would not have been able to model it if i had not watched dan tal's video a couple of times.

sometimes i feel curious about trying other software like vue but then i refrain from it as my goal is to use renders as a design development tool. one can easily get carried away with the endless potential of this kind of app.

Edson, what lovely renders and design...the project nestles wonderously into the valley and the images express it clearly and quite nicely!

thanks, tom. it is reassuring to find people who enjoys my architecture.

by the way, were you not about to release a new bunch of trees using realistic images?

A lot of work and good textures. πŸ˜›
I like a lot how you have created the grass in the second picture. πŸ‘ πŸ‘

I would have liked to see more shadows on the grass and more defined.

              Working with: Win7 64 bit OS - Core i5 - 2,27GHz and 8GB RAM

thans, roberto. grass textures benefit a lot from a non planar terrain as it avoids tiling. i prefer blurred shadows to well defined ones.

I think they portray your design very well. The lighting on the interior shot is perfect.
                    Beautiful place Rio.

You need more jaqueira in you renders there Edson. I remember a lot of beautiful jaqueira there. I never did try a jaca though.... 🀒 hehe. I probably should have.

indeed, chris. in fact, this place is a forest. at these moments i wish i had experience with an app like vue – like pete suggested above – to cover this mountain with trees. it would be a nightmare to do this in sketchup.

p.s.: did you get my pm?

Great looking project and renders. I particularly like "13_ConjuntoCima.jpg" It's one of those images that captures the magnitude of the space that photographs alone can not portray. It's humbling when you are in the presence of majestic spaces like this and you realize that we are but a tiny part of this universe, yet we have the power to do so much harm to it.

It's always a pleasure to see your work.
