      Hey all,

I've been using Sketchup for a couple years now but only recently have I attempted photo matching or Photo-sims. I have a situation where I'm placing a number of buildings on a hill side. The road in front it is a bit wavy on top of the fact that I'm using a stitched photo. I may need to go out a take a panoramic photo with camera.

Anyway, I can't use 'Photomatch' because I don't have anything to reference my vanishing points to. The only thing man made, besides the curvy road, that is visible in the picture is a fence and it's old and dilapidated. So I'm using topographical lines imported from autoCad which are at true height. The image I've added as a background. so I'm placing my camera on a contour approximately where the photo was taken, but still need to adjust the view to match so I activate 'Look Around' however it's based on some other height. Then I have to adjust the focal length. As you can tell this is a lengthy, aggravating process. At the end of all this I will export the image and use photoshop to finish it up.

Does anyone have any suggestions to simplify this process?
