Great plant collection in .skp format

This is something worth checking out - http://cadplants.com/filespecs.php
From the site - "Special Support for SketchUp
Add realistic trees and plants to your SketchUp designs. All plant textures are provided in SketchUp SKP format. Simply copy them to your SketchUp Components directory and then drag-n-drop into your scenes. Each SKP file contains the plant image in two formats: polygonal and billboard. The polygonal version is a high-resolution polygon that accurately follows the contour of the plant image, a must for realistic shadows. The billboard version is a simple rectangle and ensures complex scenes remain fast and responsive.
You can easily switch between versions by showing and hiding the appropriate layers. Use the low-resolution layer for editing, and then switch to the high-resolution layer for final rendering"
I downloaded the sample file and I was disappointed to find it wasn't fully converted to faceme component. It is cut out nicely however, so the conversion only takes a few seconds.
Also - A while ago, I bought the landscape design program that this company put out - http://www.ideaspectrum.com/ This program will import sketchup models, however, currently the rendering is not really up to par yet. The landscape design program comes with all the plants from this collection however and it's about half the price of buying the plants by themselves. There is a way to save the plants in .TGA format directly from the design program, with the alpha pre-loaded. The other perk of the design program is that it has a search feature, which let's you search for the plant name, color, type or size you want and then you can save is as a .TGA to open in photoshop. The downside is it would take forever to convert all of these to .skp format. I can vouch that these plants and trees are really good quality and good resolution.
@ admin - Might be worth contacting them to inquire about advertising here.

Very nice find, Adam, thanks!
The sample they provide is very impressive (although to tell the truth, I wouldn't have used such a precise trace-around of the jpg image but a lot rougher one for a png which still gives a convincing shadow but much smaller file size wise but hey...)
Now I just need to find out what to do with this sunflower in my current project (which goes back to Roman times where there was no sunflower in the "Old World" yet )
Anyway, first I was a bit "shocked" by the prices (roughly between $ 100 and $ 200) but then I realised that a Volume (say Shrubs 1) contains 440 (or so) plants! That's a real bargain to say you can get an image for less than a quarter.

Ehm. I had a better look and now I see that only the combos are more than $ 100 - all the "normal" volumes are $ 99 and they range somewhere 400 and 500 species each.

Yes, I think so did the plants imported from the RLA in SketchUp, instead of being a model skp pull it, because in the program RLA whole model glue together and not under command, renders the possibility is not very good, although the plants are really good ...
