Imageshack hacked?
-
WTF? All my images posted everywhere are showing this:
-
Ouch. Big suck.
Looks like they got it fixed, your random renders thread shows up fine.
-
Thats awesome!
-
Wonder how successful they will be!

It's kinda cool
...but not so for Pete
. I hope you have the originals still on your hard drive.

I have used ImageShack for posting images at the ASGVis forums as their forum solution doesn't let you upload images like SCF do.
I've never experienced any problems with it. Nor have I ever detected any viruses or trojans.
I wonder if it's because I use ad-block and the trojan you speak of is from a dodgy advertiser. Is the a free image hosting service out there that's 'safe'?

Now I know source of the Trojans that my AV blocked. Guess I will limit my viewing of images posted on specific sites. Btw, exactly what happened? Is the message that Solo posted a hack of ImageShack warning us of the problems with ImageShack? Is this like a vigilante thing?

It was a group that is against full disclosure of vulnerabilities, which image shack is all for.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/07/13/imageshack_hack/
So they had replaced image shack images with their own. Then image shack quickly fixed it, and put back all the correct images.
I also am of the mindset that image shack should be more careful who they let advertise with them. Some of those ads are bad. I think it tarnishes them. I don't like them at all because of it, and I refuse to use them. But that's just me

Thanks Chris, Between your, and Modelhead's post, I am no longer downloading files from that site. I have been experimenting with ways to us MS's blog features to store images, and videos. Some how they picked up on my storing videos, and currently block my uploads. Funny how normal images are OK but video's are not. If I hadn't upgraded Win Live Writer, I might have been OK. Oh well, its their prerogative
