I didn't expect this to come out as exceptional well as it did, everything just kept going right with this build also I tried to keep it low poly though its still pretty detailed and the curves are pretty good as well.

      Heres some images

Total build time is about 7 hours. I will render it later gotta go to sleep for work tomorrow. I know its not the most detailed thing I modeled but I am happy with it.

This is going to sound so bitchy... Why did that take you 7 hours?

I think the handle is a little bit too small.
Or the blade and shield are too big, take a pick πŸ˜„

But, besides that, the model is pretty decent!

And a tip: if this really took you 7 hours, you should look in the ruby section on this forum. There are some great scripts there that will probably get your modeling time for this under an hour πŸ‘

Its ok, yeah there some issues with the scale but the colours are nice 😜

              If in doubt... DO it!

I altered the sides of the shield to that they would be kinda odd but in a good way, they aren't round but kinda weird. its kinda hard to notice but this shield is a great shape its not straight. I doubt anyone could have done it faster then I did and I am a fast sketchup artist.

As you can see in the pics I didn't just use the push/pull tool but I refined the mesh afterwards so that it could remain the basic shape. Kinda like the edge of a nice new car by the wheel well.

Still, 7 hours?? go check out the Speed Modeling Competitions at http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewforum.php?f=291, you might be able to spot some techniques for speeding up the modeling process. 7 hours seems quite a lot of time for a sword and shield πŸ˜•

… Don't get me wrong though; you DID do a good job πŸ‘

As I mentioned above, the Speed Modeling Competition can give you great ideas for techniques to speed up the process, maybe you could join too πŸ˜‰ . It would be nice to have more entries, and if you win you get your username displayed in bright orange for everyone to see 😎
