Some problems with 3D Warehouse

Hello, I want to ask a few questions as I am a bit confused after uploading my first model. (there will be many more, brazilian cities are barely touched in regards to 3d buildings)

I tried to upload a model directly from inside Sketchup. A pop up window from 3D Warehouse opened, but nothing appears on the screen. I click share model (at sketchup), then the program "write the entitites", the 3D warehouse window opens but stays blank.
thus I decided to share directly from 3D warehouse. Opened Firefox, 3d Warehouse, and selected the file to share. But then, it told me I can only share KMZ files! WTF? How can I share the SKP file? If I search my model at 3D Warehouse, only the KMZ file is available for download... while most other models there also have a SKP version available...

Any suggestion??

Uploaded it a few minutes ago, so dunno when Google will put it into the GE 3D building layers...

here is a photo where you can see the real building (the one with 2 red painted sidewalls). Notice that in GoogleEarth, there is NO 3D BUILDING so far in the downtown... mine will be first... so you guys can see there is plenty of work to do...

Well, indeed you can only upload skp files straight from SU itself, through the "share model" button.If you use the web browser upload, it will only allow kmz. But no worries as kmz files are also reviewed and put onto the 3D Layer in GE.

Now as for your blank webdialog in SU, what if you right click and try to "refresh" it? (Actually, it's a "real" IE window).

BTW can you visit the WH from IE?

Agh, no luck refreshing the pop up window.

and yes, I can access 3D Warehouse both from Firefox and IE.

how frustrating. In my home computer, I cant connect Sketchup with GoogleEarth. In my office computer, I cant connect Sketchup with 3D Warehouse...

If it's an office computer, make sure that SU is allowed to communicate with the Internet (have a check at the firewall settings for instance). Network administrators tend to limit everything as much as possible.
