(REQ) Zoom to snap

Does something exist, or would it be possible to create a tool that would allow a keyboard shortcut that would zoom the camera into an inference point when the cursor is on one?
On a side note, can someone point me to a script that will hide unselected?

There is a "zoom to selected" plugin you can get it here in the downloads area: http://www.pixero.com/
Don't know if that's exactly what you wanted, but hope it helps.
