Face Selecting Problem

I am currently working with sketchup models on a dell optiplex 755 and I am having problems selecting faces. when I try and select a face it will select the face behind it, or to the side of it, ETC. Now I have found were is said you go to the "openGL" under the preferences tab and check the "correct reversed picking driver bug" but that does not seem to work. Any Suggestions?

Do you know if your machine has a graphics card? if not this is probably the source of your troubles.

remus is right. graphic card may be the source of your problem.
under the OpenGl on preferences, untick "use hardware acceleraion"
