Styles Dialog

Is the styles dialog supposed to look like this all the time? With the two panes? Mine is stuck like this. I'd prefer just the single pane. I thought it only looked like this when you were sampling other styles.
Any help? Thanks.

You can shrink it down to one pane again by clicking the little black and white icon in the top right, just below the close 'x'
