Hey, I've just recently discovered the power of Sketchup 7. I've been looking around and watching video tutorials but I haven't seen one specific to unwraping a model for texturing. Does Sketchup 7 have this feature or something similar? If so, please point me in the direction of the nearest tut. In the end my model HAS to be exported using the .x exporter plugin with the UV map embedded in it.

      Thanks!

SU doesnt have any UV unwrapping tools (one of its more obvious flaws in my opinion.)

If you need to do some complex texturing your best bet is to export to another app and do it from there. Ive heard hexagon: http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/software/hexagon is pretty good for this, although i havent used it myself.

Well, is there a known method of being able to export a uv mapped mesh then? For free preferably.

Blender would be worth looking in to, i believe its UV tools are fairly advanced.

Depending on what you really want to do, I believe some workarounds do exist in SU. Just too tedious.
