No jpg importing available

I recently encountered a strange impossibility of importing anything else than .dwg or .skp file into sketchup using file->import... . Bitmaps can be added by moving a file just on the screen but I can't paste jpeg in Photomatch mode, which is not nice. Has anybody dealt with this?

Has it always been like this or has it just "started" to do it?
Would turning hardware acceleration (Window > Preferences > OpenGL) help? (I doubt it though). Maybe a full reinstall?

I have already searched preferences for any possible reasons for no importing, also OpenGL settings. Any changes gives no effect. Sketchup is new, I have reinstaled Windows recently. Is there a chance that problem is caused by loads of plugins?
I think I will reinstal Sketchup. This should do, otherwise I will continue topic.

Well, in extreme cases plugins can also cause weird things. Try to remove all your plugins (move them into another folder) and restart SU. If it fixes it, move your plugins back to their folder one by one and keep restarting SU until you find the culprit.

With no plugins there wasn't any change, so it was not plugins fault. I have no idea why it happened, but luckily starting program setup file in reapir mode helped and now Photomatch and other types of importers work.

Ha. Good to hear it worked. (PC's are so mysterious that often you just feel like a fresh install is the only solution
