Moleskine notebook, bound by an elastic band and with a built in bookmark.

This is the pocket sized sketch-book of Matisse and the historic avant-garde, ideal for drawings, water-colours and temperas. More versions (plain, ruled, weekly planner) can be found at my blog: http://desert-b.blogspot.com/2009/04/019-sketchup-free-model-of-month.html

This model is perfect for virtual-reality-pervs: make your custom moleskine by changing the paper texture and draw on it with your tablet 😉

tinanne, broomstick, sergio, i'm glad you like it - I've exported it as 3ds model and rendered in vue d'esprit 6 with 600 dpi textures: it works perfectly!

Now if someone could do this as a sketchup style...

👍 great! actually I used the moleskine as background in an animation for a documentary, as you see in the attached image.

Thank you Dave for the kind offer to make a style with it

Karamouza, if you want to make it by yourself the process is easy: just render the moleskine with plain pages (or ruled or whatelse you want) as jpg image, create a new style and use the saved jpg as watermark; then choose a sketchy edge you like and mix them.
