Question regarding textures
-
Hi!
I am looking for someone who might be able to help me with a sketchup problem: I have built a bunch of models of buildings and I want to add textures to the faces, but I have extruding shapes, and also windows, etc. My question is how to add texture to the face of these buildings if they have extruding forms, etc? When I import the texture and paint it on, it does nothing.. The only way the texture application works for me is on a flat surface... Surely there is a way to apply the texture to wrap around different faces? I tried selecting theentire model, and other ideas, but none seem to work.
Another problem I have is that I'm creating the texture in photoshop at the scale of the sketchup model export or 'snapshot' asa 2d graphic. When I reimport it, the image is smaller than the model.. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Can you post a model for us to take a look at?
You should be able add the texture using the bucket tool?

cant you sample the texture and then it would be in your textures and you could just use it like that
do other textures work when you try to use them on this surface that is not flat, or is it just this one particular one that doesnt work that you import

Flash,
I do not entirely understand your first dilemna; as Toby suggested, could you please post an example or image to illustrate the problem.
Regarding your second problem, you can always edit the size of the texture in the Create Material window.
