Creating my own application with Google SketchUp API
-
Hi, I want to know if there is a way to develop my own application
using SketchUp's functionality and interface.
Even if I have to pay a license to Google.Thanks,

Yes there is a way. That is exactly what its there for. Sketchup uses the Ruby language as a base, and then it has implemented its own features which are documented in the API.
Check out the "Ruby Discussions Forum" here with questions and such. There are quite a few of us learning Ruby right now.

Hi, first of all, thank you for answering.
What I mean is if I can use SketchUp functionality (like dashboard, some tools, etc.) in my own desktop Application. I don't need to improve Sketchup functionality, just take some of it's functionality in my own application.

Ahh, thats a good question. You would need to contact Google directly on that.

According to the EULA, it is currently not possible by "every day" users/developers. So unless Google allows it (which, to be honest, I'd doubt ATM), you cannot. But contact them as Chris suggested.
