Toggle Continuous Line
-
It's easy enough to stop the rubber banding with Line Command (finishing one line starts the next at the close point) by hitting escape. However, when stitching curves the lines don't continue once a face closes. You can spend all afternoon double clicking Line on a complex model.
Could the rubber banding be toggled, like Duplicate/Move, so we can choose on the fly? It's a pain when it isn't there and you need it, and just as frustrating when you don't want it and it happens anyway.
Thanks,
Jim

You can turn off "rubber banding" in Preferences -> Drawing -> untick "continute line drawing".
I personally find the rubber banding very useful. Though I do agree that sometimes termination of the rubber banding when a face is created can be a bit annoying when you are trying to close off multiple attached faces.

I think it would be a lot better to have it permanently on. Having to press escape is very little hassle compared to double clicking to keep your line going.

I guess you're right, Coen, it's better on than off. Still, but what's the difficulty of programming the option key, as it is programmed in Move, for example? Except keep it sticky, so that once it's engaged it stays that way until turned off.
