Create curve from edges

I am trying to create a sketchup animation, but am stuck on the "create curve from edges" part. This is not a choice in my drop down menu. I am using SketchUp 6 Pro. Is this the problem?

Hi Nebraska, where are you getting the instructions for making an animation? What you've described sounds like it might be instructions included with a plugin that you might not have. Do you have a link to the animation tutorial you're looking at?

Like Cris says, there's no "naive" command to create a curve from a set of individual edges. There's a plugin however that is so essential that almost everyone has it and many of us often forget that it's not there "by default": Weld.rb.
For an animation plugin like FlightPath.rb it is also needed since you need to have a single path for your camera places.
