Windowizer4 now available!
-
To recreate a lost post:
I have uploaded an update to Windowizer4 that fixes an obscure bug (could cause a bugsplat when using Windowizer4 inside a group with "Front only" set to "Yes").
The next planned update will include a right-click-menu option to start Windowizer4, and I hope to have style exporting/importing done as well.

Uploaded the update to smustard, Rick?

Rick, is it possible to mail a memo to people who've bought scripts when a newer version is available? If I didn't pass through here I wouldn't have known about the update (bug fix), and I bought & DL'ed on 11/11/08.

Yes, I intend to do that this weekend yet.

Sweet! I've been trying to download the latest version through MySmustard but for the some or other reason it is not working at the moment, I also tried downloading using the download URL given in the e-mail I got from Smustard, but this too seems not to be working. I'll try MySmustard again later, I hope it'll be working then.

Got the latest update eventually. MySmustard is such a sweet plugin! If only there was something similar for the other plugins...

i could not get the original W4 to work on my mac but your latest update did the trick. there is no more need to use .m, .mm or .cm for metric units. W4 assumes the file units.
a wish or two: why not have at least one transparent material in the glass material drop list? would it be possible to access the paint bucket when defining the material for the frame and glass?
thanks for this great plugin.

While I haven't found a way to do an "eyedropper" from a dialog, remember that the W4 dialog is modeless - you can use the paint tool's eyedropper to select a material from the model and see what its name is in the Materials dialog, then select that same material from the dropdown in the W4 dialog.
I know that's not ideal, but it's the best available option for now.

rick,
having wxSU installed causes conflicts with windowizer4 (the dialogue appears blank) and immediate crashes after invoking it. after removing wsSU everything went back to normal.
but since wxSU is necessary for RandomPainter to work, perhaps there is something you can do that would allow both scripts to be installed at the same time.
regards.

I had noticed problems with wxSU as well (one reason I didn't adopt), but not specifically with Windowizer4. I'll have to dig in and see what I find out.
Thanks,
