Placing Doors & Windows Components
-
Hi,
I'm sorry if this sounds like a dumb question (I've searched the threads and don't seem to find anything similar). I'm using sketchup for the first time, and trying to build a house model for a project.
When I try to put in my doors/windows from the components, sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't. I'm just short of pulling my hair out. When I try to place them against the surface that I want to place it on, it doesn't rotate automatically. Sometimes the glass shows up, and other times they don't. When I try to move it forward, the glass doesn't show either. What did I do right or wrong? Please take a look at my screen capture and enlighten me. Thanks!
Is this a bug, or something else?

Welcome, Jasmine.
At least for windows and basic doors, I prefer to use the free Windowizer 3 from Smustard.

Hi Jasmine,
There can be several reasons but first of all the gluing plane is probably not set correctly. Can you share the file?

Hi Alexandre,
Can it be a dynamic component? Can you post a link where you found it?
