Can some1 plz render this
-
Hi again.
I am working on a soon to be website called RUBIKu'S. As you might have guessed it would be a site about the Rubik's Cube (tutorials, projects...).
I was wondering what the logo should be like. Than it came to me. A statue - a stack of large Rubik's Cubes. And seeing your renders I thought that it could be made in SketchUp.
Knowing that I cant render for my life, I am asking you to render this model for me. I would like the render to look like a great statue from ancient times or the "space age".

I wouldnt mind giving it a go
-
If there was a 3d model then maybe.
-
ye i can't upload it... don't know why
-
You should be ble to. Are you sure you are trying to upload the skp file and not the skb file? Also, what is the size? (4 Mb is allowed but such a model shouldn't be so big).
-
I think the file is too large, the board limit is 4mb and your file is 8mb.

Magic
-
kus actually emailed me the model, doesnt sound quite as exciting as the 'magic' explanation though.
-
Is it really that large? No components, no purging? My whole Gothic town was smaller!
-
I purged it and it went down to spot on 8mb, everything is components as well, so my only guess is that it is the sheer quantity of geometry weighing it down (approx 800k faces...)
-
Well then; give it a go and render it! I'm looking forward to the result.
-
Way ahead of you there
do you mind if i post it here kus?
-
no prob...
-
An easy one to render, as al the hard modelling had been done already
-
I uploaded it to the warehouse... that is the link
-
I'm rebuilding it to lower the poly count... wait a moment...
EDIT: I'm much slower than I thought... Almost there...
-
Here is a quick Podium Eval render (note that I have used Podium the first time for about the last two years - it can even be seen on the quality and ome AA wouldn't hurt either)
-
Here you go...
rubik_statue_SU6_fixed.skp
I'll try rendering it.
It's for web, no? Then it doesn't need to be that big. Any specific size? -
