[Request] toggle between selected layer

Is it possible to preselect layers ( or define them ) and then toggle between off and on?
( maybe a kind of layer memory )There are scripts where you can hide all ( except current )or show all.
For the handling of textures, higher poly objects, for renderings in a few more steps...I have to select to much by hand. -
Not sure what you mean by "preselect layers". You want to select all entities on multiple layers? Or turn on/off the visibility of sets of layers?
If it's the latter you can do that without a plugin; create Scenes which only control the visibility of layers and hidden geometry and nothing else.

I can do it with scenes, but with a lot of objects I'm a bit lost. It was nice to toggle layers also inbetween the scenetabs to support, otherwise I have to much scenes.
