Creating fabrics

I am trying to figure out how to make some fabric/clothe like models. I plan on creating a quilt in sketchup and also some bed coverings...... i need the shapes to be very fluid, continuous, and i need to understand how to create the effect of draping these fabrics...... i also want to figure out how to place textures on this fabric model when i get done so that the textures will i guess morph with the undulations of the fabric..... if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated......
