Here is a link to a Dynamic Shower Stall Component download as an example of how the SketchUp Dynamic Component feature can be used for shower stall layouts.

Well done Phillip, lots of work went into that example....
Which brings me to a question I have asked myself about DC's and their role in such modelling. It appears the time that takes to set up such a DC would far outstrip the time required to draw it once and mutli copy / mirror it. I have only played with DC's a little and I am yet to discover how I could introduce them into my workflow efficiency.
In conceptual mass modelling; sure, DC's could be helpful in quickly building up forms, etc as the time it takes to set it up is negligible.
But for detailed architectural modelling, I can't see it making it's way into regular workflows due to the immense time set up not to mention the need to be a maths scholar in the process....maybe stairs, that's about it.I'm keen to hear other comments about this,
Once again great example, certainly do not want to take away from your efforts...
Cheers,

Philip, if we're going too off topic here give us a shout...
Utiler,DCs are a lot of work to set up, but as with normal components you can reuse them multiple times, and you dont necessarily have to model them yourself.

Sure they are remus, I just haven't found a reason to venture further into the DC tutorials yet.... all the modelling i do every day, i keep asking myself "should i have done that as a DC"? but haven't convinced myself otherwise....
Considering this fine example posted by Phillip, If i need to model multiple shower cubicles then I'll do so as a component and nestle individual components within [doors, faucets, seats, etc, etc].Set it to a width of the total width / no. of units then copy and divide.
Change the door height...? just open outliner, chose 'door' and stretch...
Maybe it's where cost reporting that DC's would become handy in this instance....

Thank you for your support remus. This forum is a joy to belong to.
Andrew I believe you are best placed to decide what best suits your particular workflow requirement. Dynamic Components may or may not feature in your preferred tool set.
Fortunately there are enough features in SketchUp to satisfy most user preferences.
