Violin modeling
-
Hello everyone
after browsing around the sketchucation community forums for a year
i decided to model a violin for first time. i'm not good at rendering
but here is what i have so far -
Good stuff, youve made a very good start
If your looking for crits, i think youd be better of cutting the holes in the body (the 'f' shaped ones, im sure theyve got a proper name) after youd made the body itself, this would avoid the bad geometry around them that you currently have.

Still it looks very good if you ask me...
-
It sure looks amazing..!!
Though... I assume it will become difficult to texture some parts...
Do you plan to apply textures..?? -
i fixed the bad geometries
its now smooth and clean
i'm having trouble texturing the violin because texture seems to be
applied to each triangulated faces.Gaieus has been helping me over at newbie forum

i'll try cleaning up the mess
thanks for the crit remus -
That is beautiful!
Thank you very much for sharing.

Amazing, I am in awe....A few questions:
How long did this take?
Is it dimensionally accurate, could plans be generated from this?
I would also love to see a tutorial of how you modeled the whole thing.
This is one of those models that just leaves me scratching my head going "how the h*** did he do this?"
Very well done

Excellent work, I am impressed.

Looking really good! Love the taper work for the scroll.
Don't forget to continue the taper for the finger board after it meets the body. The flare continues to the end.
