Cannot open SU7 Free

Hi
Just joined, been using free su7 for 12mths approx, came to use it the other day and it wouldnt open, error message came up "a problem caused the program to stop working correctly windows will shut it down", I tried the repair, no good same so I uninstalled and reinstalled - same message. Please help! -
Have you tried opening it by clicking on an SU file? i think there are some problems with it on vista that stop it opening from the icon for soem reason.

Note that you need to install SU on Vista with administrator rights (right lick the installer and do it from there). Also,AFAIK the best is to start SU (for the first time) the same way.

yes I have, I can open su5 on my su5 program but cannot open either way! most of my files are now in 7http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/posting.php?mode=reply&f=79&t=15475#

I still have the download saved on my pc (use Mozilla) so when I go to reinstall what do I right click?

Installed the program again as administratorbut same error message came up !!!! opened as administrator and it worked closed it down went straight back to icon, same error message. Do i have to go in as aministrator every time?

I don't think you do but also I'm on XP so cannot suggest anything for sure. Hope a Vista user chimes in soon.

I installed SketchUp as administrator and now I can just double click on the icon and I don't get an error message. Although ometimes Vista does lots of weird things.
