Bridging a wireless router...help
-
Hey,
I'm running into weak signal issues in my art studio and trying to add a second wireless router to serve as a bridge.
Has anyone done this? And if so, how do you set it up? It's driving me nuts!
Primary wireless router is a D-Link 615 and I am adding the same 615 model.
Thx. -
Double Espresso, first of all, Happy New Year.
I think maybe the wireless signal is not strong enough to reach the second router, any possibilities to make the connection between the 2 wireless routers wired? I had the same problem, but i had a weak wireless signal so I had to put a cable between the routers.
Sorry for the dumb question, but, you see the section 2, page 10 in the manual? "Connect to Another Router"
Regards
Edgar

Thanks R, and All The Best To You.
I should have mentioned that my house is totally hardwired with CATV and everything links to a central hub area. I went wireless about three years ago and all was good except the furthest point. The house is built on the side of a hill and I often joke - there's more steel and concrete than in the 'Golden Gate Bridge' holding it up. Anyway my issue is I use my MacBook most of the time in this area and the wireless signal has dead spots...BTW, tried a booster - not great.
Cheers,
DE
