Hello. I am making windows, each window is a component, and I want to make the glass transparent but when I start to change the degree of transparency other things than the glass changes, like other grouops in other layers and so on. How do I isolate the change to that component, what am I doing wrong? WHow do correct? Regards mr Per Newbie.

Hi Per, changes to transparency is applied per material so if you have any other object painted with that particular material, the changes will be applied model wise.

Gaieus was right, I have came across same problem before. I was create a surface and painted it with translucent material and realize that I need to divided them up and create a frame around it. Once I did all that I notice that when I orbit around those surface on the frame I create by drawing a line to divided the original face wasn't look solid. It took me a while to figure it out.

Great work guys lot helpful information here.
