Kevin here are a few images of one way of doing it.

I see you use blue prints so lets do it that way.

        http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/5082/bm1jl5.jpg

Set up your images, make sure they are lined up.

        http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/327/bm2ai2.jpg

Trace it out (tools on surface works best)

        http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/9871/bm3zk5.jpg

group them and then pull them through each other

        http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/9061/bm4bl7.jpg

You can now intersect them and remove unwanted mesh by deleting it
or use 'Booltools' (to be released soon)

        http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/6567/bm5hd4.jpg

Now you have a basic shape and you can do the finer details.

Stinkie, I hope it will get him up and going, maybe even complete a model and get a real thread going.

Peter, It's 'Booltools' a new plugin that I really cannot say too much about right now as it's yet to be released (another amazing Whaat plugin)... guess I said too much already 😉

Actually it's about half way between the museum and the site we dug last time. Perfect place for an office (we have that table constantly reserved) 😉

Considering the number of drinks already on the table id be quite worried if they were already contemplating another round.

I cannot tell more because Ross has started a contest about the scene 😛

              And now back to the topic;

@Kevin, Pete (solo) posted some really good ideas along which you can proceed. Have you tried any of them yet?

Great tutorial... too bad it's wasted here when there are many others who appreciate it.
I know the stock answer is 'if you don't want to involve yourself don't read this thread' but it truly does demean the integrity of the forum to let someone like this little troll get away with his nonsense.

Kevin, I usually do not do cars so I figured I'd learn with you! If you follow Petes wonderful tutorial, you will see that it really isn't that hard... all you have to do is practice! I did this in about 30 minutes with none of the rubies Pete mentioned... it looks like crap but with a few refinements you could have a nice model!
So stop showing everyone the one or two segments you've added, show them something when you get stuck or need help... otherwise just post what you think the final is and people with help you from there!

                        Happy sketching!

no need to thank solo and all the others for the input, really, no need at all.

He's still harboring a grudge against Solo because Solo called him out over the lie over the old PC and the $2,000 car design program.

...and with Solo's method, a bit of tweaking (I like to use the Zorro rb for this), and the subdivide (or subdivide and subsmooth if you want to spend 22$) rb, you can make the, quote, "UGLY" profile smooth.
an example made in around 45 minutes
...Bt the way, let me guess: booltools are like the oscar tools. right?
