Moving objects
-
As I work on my third model I am having all kinds of Orbiting object moving issues. I believe that while messing with camera angles I must of inadvertently changed a setting. I seem to have lost one axis motion or anchored it somehow. My movements all act as if they a tethered to some point. Does that make any sense at all? I have been trying to restore default settings or figure what I changed! Any help?

I'm going to guess that you don't have your blue axis pointed up. If it is on its side, that means that SU will feel very weird. That's my first thought, check it and if its not right, let us know. Upload the model too.

I sit here sagely nodding my head. Not having a clue how to check. Here is the model so far but it is so slow working this way. Alot of moving the mountain to Mohamed kind of thing. I really don't want to start over since alot of the shapes are trial and error and it would take me some time to reproduce them.

Hello, you uploaded the .kmz file which is a Google earth version of the model. Do you have the SketchUp model? it should be .skp ending.

Yeah, I opened up the file and noticed right away that the green axis was pointing up. So you can either just keep the blue up and keep working on it, or select everything and rotate it all. Either way, glad its working now for you,
Chris
