Component name

Is it possible to add to the names of the subcomponents in a DC so that it would change the actual component name? For example a named part "side" of a cabinet could be updated to become "102.side" etc., (without having to physically change ea part name) thereby allowing identification of which cabinet the parts would go to.

I dont think this is currently possible, although it would be possible to change the 'component info-name' attribute. This isnt the actual component name, though, which is a bit counter intuitive.
